Olive implements SCRUM in an offshore environment

Olive was chosen by the client to develop an application with Automated Clearing House (ACH) services using the SCRUM process. SCRUM is an iterative, incremental process for developing any product. It delivers a higher business value compared to the Waterfall model. Along with functional challenges including reducing cost and time there was also the challenge of implementing SCRUM in an offshore environment. These challenges were overcome by Olive by effectively coordinating geographically dispersed SCRUM teams. As a result the client not only was able to cut cost but also was able to market a software product that gave them higher business value. Java Solution using TUNA for a Credit Information System

Our client, Sonlight Curriculum Ltd., is a Littleton, Colorado-based business focusing on home school curriculum. Sonlight approached Olive to maintain their web store system by providing a time payment option. TransUnion is a global credits information management organization providing intermediate access to individual’s credit reports to its customers. Sonlight needed to acquire credit information of the clients placing online orders to improve their delivery system.

Olive provided a Java-based web solution called TUNA (TransUnion Net Access) for the credit information and data management system. Olive facilitated integration of TransUnion’s credit reporting system with the client’s system. The client, an Automated Clearing House (ACH) service provider, approached Olive with a need to develop a secure, web based electronic payment transaction system focusing on single, recurring, and batch transaction processing. The additional requirements included web-based transaction entries, secure payment delivery system, and the ability to allow transaction approval before releasing into the banking network.
Olive understood the requirements from the client side and provided a web application based on .NET framework which streamlined client payment processing to small banks and larger corporations. The ACH system allowed the client to have control, and the ability to continue to offer their users automatic updates without downloading or purchasing an application.
